Photographer's Note

Sky reflection and red weed turn rice terraced fields in Yuanyang into colorful scene. Unfortunately, this beauty is vanishing day after day as local residents switch from rice cultivation into banana farming to get profit.

Depending on the speed of conversion, one day when you arrive here, you will be able to buy cheaper bananas instead of witnessing the largest zone of terraced fields on our earth planet.

If UNESCO elects this destination into their World Heritage List and local authorities implement a nominal fee for access to the site, they can help stopping the destruction of the thousand-year-old beauty.
