I noticed that the lights of the bridge were not close enough and they did not form a nice outline of the bridge, so I tried to outfocus it and the result turned out to be quite nice, didn't it?
I had considered moving the lens to the right a bit at that time but then the image would be too symmentrical. So I sacrifice the right side.

Out of focus is the classical way of making the sun bigger in sunset pictures. I think you have found a creative new use for that here. Just wish there had been a it more on the right.

Yes I agree, it's a clever use of outfocusing.
The uneasy thing with blurred pics is to have to out of focus part clearly recalling what you want to show.
You went beyond all expectations : as you said your pics is more meaningful of a bridge shape than sharp images.
