Photographer's Note

"Built in the Tang Dynasty, the Small Wild Goose Pagoda was originally a 15-story brick pagoda with densely-arranged eaves. Originally consisting of the base, the body and the crest parts, the tower stands at present 43.38 meters with its crest being destroyed and the 14th and 15th floors reduced during earthquakes. Its base part is raised square earthen platform coated with bricks, under which there is an underground treasury. The body of the pagoda has hollow walls and inside the pagoda, you can find a brick stairway. With the first story standing 6.83 meters tall, the pagoda has shorter story as you ascent it" Previous text from Xi'an Museum pamphlet. www.xabwy.com.
