Hi Harry,
What a fantastic picture! Although I do like the choice of b&w, I wonder what the color version looks like...
Excellent composition, with the detail on the yaks fur as clear as the mountains behind. Good balanced composition too - with almost no clipping in exposure.
nice work,

Hi,
a very nice composition and a perfect frame. The black and white gives a stunning drama here. The position of the yak's head is too well captured in time. Decisive use of DOF to include the background. The classic black and white is indeed better than the colored.
Have a nice Time

Hello Harry,
The yak so well positioned in the frame with all of its specific characteristics clear and sharp and with wonderful play of light and shadows; and against a landscape background that is telling and brought with perfect contrasts.
The B/W version is by far the strongest.

Hi Harry.
A terrific b/w shot, with some very subtle variations in tone and texture. I like the very close view of the yak's head turned to one side. The depth in the shot is marvellous, and the sky looks superb in b/w. Great sharpness in the details of the yak's coat. Excellent!

Andrew

Çok güzel bir kare olmuş.
Siyah beyaz oluşu daha dramatize etmiş.
Tebrikler.

that is the things about nature, the light sometimes is so weak and it could be anytime of the day, and this it seems is a high altitude lake, so the UV is a neg..
this is a classic, though is think could have beens sharper since it about and only about the yak..
nice one

Hi Harry!
It has been a really long time!
This photo is great, the composition and the conversion to b&w!
I like the pose of the lonely yak and I've watched the Ws - I really think the conversion was a great idea, it's much more impressive in b&w!

Beautifully shot Harry - the contrast emphasizes the subject and the scene extraordinarily well - a great composition - it puts me in mind of Holman Hunt's famous painting

Hi Harry,
Excellent shot, not only that, I never think that this would look so good in black and white. I'm pleasantly surprise. Perhaps I will try some that I took in Nepal. Anyway, Just checking in with you. I know you have not been here much. I have some questions and tips about Dubai. I will send you an e-mail.
