Photographer's Note
This woman was on her pilgrimage through the holy city of Lhasa, Tibet when she was resting after a long climb up the steps of the Potala Palace - once home to the Dali Lama.
She seemed so at peace and was very agreeable when I asked to take her portrait. Her skin is red and worn from the harsh sun in Tibet.
