Photographer's Note

This type of barber chair were common all over Asia of the 50s and 60s
Typically made in Japan, I remember seeing them all over singapore as a kid. They weren't the most comfortable of chairs, but they has a lot of levers and catches that were interesting to fiddle with. The barbers weren't always too happy about it, and they showed you who's boss by giving you a really bad haircut :D

This shot was taken from an exhibition in HK, not visually arresting but it adds to my collection of barber pics

To make it more interesting, I lowered the gamma,
softened the image, granulated it a little and did a sepia.
