Photographer's Note
Since the only child policy has been practiced in China,
the only child also begin to be a pet of perents,
brought up by indulgent parents.
But this little girl seems a little different,
her mother help her taking school bag by bike,
she help her mother helding two big scallions,
and stay in walking.
it seems she always have something in hands,
you can have a look here

Wow, a sensitive image. Lovely colors and quite funny shot, I like the green/purple contrast and the V from the leeks.
I simply regret there isn't more of the bike wheel and of her shadow on wall, perhaps taken a fraction too late.
FM2 + Voigtlander lens : nice rig, that's what I call tradition photography !

Yes, I agree with Luko here. Now, when I read about the one child policy in my mind I connected the shadow on the wall to perhaps a sister or broter that this child will be denied (whether by abstinence by parents, birth control or abortion). There is a huge feeling of loneliness and sadness here.

There is a tough delicacy about your photography hat is abslutely unique and when it's fully "on",like here, it packs a terrific punch. This shot is a bit like those paper flowers that expand in contact with water...this is what it does to our mind...
Super job,

Hi Mingfang. Wonderful shot, I really like the shadow of her head on the wall. the colors look so nice. I think Luko is right, a little more of the bike wheel would be nice.

Lovely capture, the green & the pink colors stand out from wall. I like her shadow too.
She look so candid in this environment.

Another beautiful, sensitive shot by you, Mingfang... a definite style that is immediately recognizable. Lovely moment and positioning of the girl, with a fantastic shadow on that rubble of a wall. I find myself getting both sad and tender inside looking at this shot... sad because of the obvious poverty, tender because of her solitary play...

你好!
You are one of the rare photographer in the China pages of TE who have succeed in building up a coherent exhibition. The really good thing is that you developed your own style. And I do like this style, wide angle, color film, street photography and a very specific sense of framing.
Why this image is working so well for me ?
- This little girl is centered in the frame, but it's still very dynamic due to the two big scallings working as the needles of a clock.
- I like the idea of this bike, partly hidden, a little bit mysterious but that tells a story: what is she following with such a decided mood ! In additions I feel feel she is following her own shadow...
The only bad point is about your scan that is a little bit noisy in the dark areas, but as you know, with my poor ability of scanning, I am not the one that you should listen to for this kind of advises ;)
Please continue to post pictures from this set !

Hi Mingfang,
It's quite a nice, warm picture... I like different colours here and the way she holds the vegetables in her hands... Really well done and it does tell an interesting story as well.
