Photographer's Note

On a somewhat unusually cold and rainy day in china in late August i went on an adventure down the Shennong River, (in BaDong, Hubei province). This river is a lesser tributry of the great Yangzi River. It originates from the south slope of Shennong Jia (known as the first peak in the centre of China). The Shennong River is 60km long and joins the Yangzi via the Wu Gorge.

Enough of the geography... as i contemplated my impending journey i stood by the rivers edge and shot this photo to remind me of the amazing mystical atmosphere that surrounded me.
