Photographer's Note
The ancient town of Ciqikou is a daily hive of tourist activity - it is now a part of the city of Chongqing. It is said that there is in excess of two million visits a year to the attractions and food on the lower level streets whilst up the winding lanes into the hillside residential areas a calmer atmosphere reigns.
This was my third visit to Ciqikou - each one has been different and revealed many different aspects of the place. I have worked with the residents, been the guest of an artist and seen it more as a tourist.

hello Kev
une très belle scène de vie,
avec une bonne lumière, et une bonne profondeur de champs.
Bonne soirée

Hello Kev,
I hadn't realised you were still posting on TE,so it's nice to see you are. Your title says it all, but without it we would have had the same thought. Love your use of light here, the way it plays on the exhausted man's face. Also the reflected light on the aluminium counter adds an extra dimension.

What is Canon 6D? Everything looks so lively! I maybe should go for that instead of a new 5D.
Yes, i also didn't know you were still here, even though from time to time :)

Hi Kev, This scene makes me smile. First, the view of the Chinese man sleeping in the work place is so common and funny. My friend had the whole gallery of similar photos. They could sleep everywhere, even in reception of the hotel. And Chongqing - the town that no one who haven't been there do not know anything about but its municipality is much more populated than the whole Australia, for instance. Excellent presentation.

Gidday Kev
So good to see you here - and your wonderful photos. I only copped on to the fact reading your conversation with Deniz about the 6D. Looks like Santa has come early for good boys. Anyway, a top shot, the definition is incredible, it feels like I'm looking at a film. The burnished metal in the FG works extremely well, the depth of field focussing on the sleeping worker and the out of focus guy in the BG is a masterstroke. Nice work indeed!
Cheers

Hi Kev
back on TE? well focused on the sleeper and the golden hues add a lot; the blurred background indicates us where the scene has been taken. Good play with your new toy!
Cheers

Hi Kev
Lovely indoor shot, I wonder whether this would look even more effective without that woman who has somehow taken a bit of attention from main subject. The plastic drinks on the left hand corner anchors the picture nicely: possibly, a picture taken a fraction earlier, minus the woman would be even lovelier. Thks for sharing, Congrats
Best wishes
