Photographer's Note
Taking in Angkor Wat during my visit last week there. This picture was taken early in the morning. This lady was taking picture of the reflection of Angkor wat in the water. Using wide angle lens, it gives me a great detail here as you can see. The most interestng thing for me to take this picture is that people try every way to take picture... they try hard.

Hi Sothy
Congratulation. You found an interesting idea on this so famous place. Excellent to see the reflection of Angkor Wat in the water.
You get a very nice idea and the sharpness is perfect.
How is Angkor under the rain ? ;o)
See you

This is a unique approach to photographing Angkor Wat. We see so many images of the same scene here on Trekearth that it's nice to see something refreshing. The colours are very nice here, but it would have been nice to have had the girl in focus and not so overexposed, but good shot none-the-less.

It is a very good exercise, trying to take two photos at one time. The reflection is great and let us know the exact place. Well done.

I would have never known what the reflection was if I hadn't met you and learned a little about Cambodia. I wonder if her picture was straight? I bet not! Look forward to seeing you again and going out and taking some shots!

Oh wow, Sothy. So odd you have this shot. I swear I have one on my hard drive so similar, from this same spot. And a girl with long dark hair. Except that her backpack is red. :)
I do like the reflections as a backdrop, but her contorting to get the shot is great. I wonder how it came out?

A very famous location but you bring up a complete new view from it. I like the idea and the composition with the reflection and the girl in front...very clever..!!!

Well, she tries hard so I hope something came out :) I like that you included her, it adds a fun moment to the whole. The reflections are interesting too showing us where it might be without showing too much. Smart you are :) Take care, Barbara.

Hello Sothy,
An original and compelling shot of Angkor Wat. You've caught the photographer, and the reflections in the puddle of the remarkable ruins. Nicely composed, beautifully exposed photo.
I just returned from a month in the Mediterranean, rejuvenate, and in possession of a myriad images to post -- gradually.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Sothy. It's nice to see something different from Angkor Wat to the usual sunrise shot (which I have to confess to having posted myself). You've framed this perfectly with your wide angle lens and handled the exposure well. Cheers . . . David

Very interesting perspective on the grand Ankor Wat temples, perhaps the most unique I have ever seen.
Bravo!

Hi Sothy
they try hard and you do too, like all of us, out there looking for something different.
My wife is always taking pictures of me,taking a picture, and you can believe me, the poses are diverse.
Good compo, with the photographer in the corner, and the reflexion is enough to give us a view of her aim.
Well done
Have a good WE

Great title, and great capture Sothy. I like how you only included the reflection of Angkor Wat in the composition. It helps draw our attention to the girl trying to photograph it. I wouldn't mind just a little more space between the girl and the left edge of the frame but it doesn't bother me much. Good eye, and congratulations on creating a unique photo of Angkor Wat.
Regards,
Ryan
