Photographer's Note
Back from a trip to Laos with a small detour to Cambodia as you can see. Angkor Wat, the majestic and mysterious figure on the national flag. needs no introduction.
It is surprising to learn that little is known for sure about those temples, since all the Writings have disappeared.
It is of course the classic point of view here, I was not alone - far from it - in the morning wanting to take pictures. Unfortunately the weather was a bit overcast but what can I tell you? I had to have it!

Good morning Philippe,
Seems like you've been away for just a few days....i hope you had a wonderful time.
Yes we all stand here. There were about 200 people around me making all to much noise, i hope you had less and could enjoy this magical moment. It's the classic shot, but a must have in your collection.
hope to see more from this trip of yours...
Have a nice day,
Henk

Salut Philippe

Philippe,
I hope you had a wonderful time on this trip. I can't wait for the rest of your wonderful photos to come. this is a great and a classic start, I was shock to find so many people here at this time of day. They all seem to be here not just the fanatics, but even the point and shoot camera and cell phone camera people are out there too, before the sun rise, Crazy. I was a little disappoint in that matter, I was hopping for some solitude and peacefulness, LOL. But as you said far from it, you're lucky to even find a good spot to set you tripod. This is great. I like the clouds rather than the plain sky. Thanks Looking forward to see more.

Salut Philippe, merveilleux ciel qui te permet un superbe contre-jour.
C'est un plaisir de voir se découper végétation et architecture avec une telle netteté. Ta longue pause permet une grande douceur sur l'eau et les reflets.
Bravo!
Amicalement

Hi Philippe,
So you are back from your trip and you bring us a nice classic view of Angkor Wat, surrounded by lovely soft colours. Even though it was a bit overcast I think that it adds to the mood.
Regards
Wanda
