Photographer's Note

Sunshades, Prasat Bayon, Angkor, Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Prasat Bayon is a richly decorated Khmer temple in the Angkor complex in Cambodia, built in the late 12th or early 13th century. The Bayon's most distinctive feature is the multitude of serene and smiling stone faces on the many towers which jut out from the upper terrace and cluster around its central peak. Of course I took plenty of snaps of the architecture, but here's something a bit different and human: visitors sheltering from the heat under coloured umbrellas.
