Bangladesh is a huge delta, a country of water, rivers, swamps and mangrove forests. The delta plain of the Ganges (Padma), Brahmaputra (Jamuna), and Meghna rivers and their tributaries occupy 79% of the country. Hello Miguel,
It's an amazing view from above. The water and the very flat areas of land remind me of an abstract painting. I spent almost two days going by boat from Khulna to Dhaka. That was a fascinating journey, and luckily I was not aware of the many accidents that happen with such overloaded ferries.

Hello Miguel,
Travelling in Bangladesh during the monsoon season ... I'm afraid you have seen a lot of flooding.
This aerial picture shows us the different colours of the river and the nearby swamps and mangrove forests.
I think I can see the red roof of a house at the bottom left.
The photo makes me think of a colour palette in which the colours blend together.

these intense green hues indicate the waters are very rich in organic material, a kind of evidence of the huge human occupation around with dejects being throw in the waters. a marvelous and rare view of this huge and famous river.
