Photographer's Note

The water looks a little bit like our lives. Sometimes you must falling down before you can proceed..

Lofer is a small town in Austria, nearby the border with Germany (8 km).

This waterfall was about 22 minutes away from our apartment, and that was a nice start of our vacation.

Maybe nice to know:
The movie "Where Eagles Dare(1968)", with Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton was largely made in Lofer.

About my point of view: the beautiful brightly colored branch was too tempting and he must create a extra depth in this picture.

the view of the waterfall with the painted branch on the foreground make the image to have a bit of humor. The environment is picturesque as the spillover of the photo.

Another beautiful shot of these waterfalls. I prefer this one to your previous, mostly because it's in the vertical frame, which I love. The colour toning is superb and you have selected the perfect shutter speed to have the maximum effect on the water. And your Note too, sounds a litle melancholy. I hope things are good at the moment for you.

There are beautiful contrasts in that picture. the different textures and colour tones are also great...thanks to the good expo!
For a split second, I thought the reddish branch was a handlebar of a bicycle, but not ;)

The exposure here is incredible, and the result you got from the 5D MarkII is more than I can even get out of it. It is one of the best camera I have by far.

I love the translution of the water falls a vale of thin fabric, like of those wore by a bride on her wedding day. Beautiful and soft texture and the rich color of the vegetation.

Hello, Lovely photo. Great sharpness and detail. You have wonderful photos in your gallery and a certain sense of style. The colors are soft and the long exposure gives the water the white sparkle look to it.

sensual, calming, soothing, and even a romantic atmosphere with this cascading waterfall.
I really like the addition of the fence along the top, and the sand colored rocks along the bottom.

A great POV on this beautiful waterfall. I love how you included the branch in the foreground, it catches our attention and then drives our look to the waterfall. Very good freezed effect on the water. I tried to do such shots in my recent holidays in Auvergne and was not fully happy with the result, so I can appreciate how difficult it is to do it. Very well done ! It would be nice to have more technical details about this photo. Did you use any filter here ? What aperture time ?

Très jolie petite chute et bonne exposition qui donne un beau filé. La composition est excellente et j'aime bien l'escalier en arrière-plan. Le morceau de bois en avant-plan intrigue et ajoute de la couleur à la photo.

Lovely shot and I can appreciate the details much better, the pov enhances the height and depth of this magnificent nature beauty. Colours, light and details are superb great sense of water movement, at the same it gives an idea of the scale of it, the vivid red makes a fine element as strong anchor. Hi Robert,

Wow, what a fine array of colors...there's so much to enjoy about this image. I don't know what I like more, the blue tint in the water or the vibrant red in the foreground branch?? This exudes such a peaceful mood, you're lucky to have this so close. I like that you've positioned the waterfall to the side and let the natural surroundings display their beauty as well withing this wonderful composition. Brilliant color pallet, and I know I'm well behind the times on this one, but thanks for sharing.

The orange branch that had fallen there, looks as a forign-allien taken a rest near the waterfall, Robert, and a nice addition to the scene.
Typical of your "silkey" water's pic.'s, and I like the contrast to green surrounding on.
