Photographer's Note
A foggy morning on Konigssee, the cleanest & purest lake in all of Germany. The structure on the right is the pilgrimage chapel of St Bartholoma which lie at the foot of the Watzmann mountain range. It takes about 1hr 15min to reach here by electric powered boat from the "town" of Konigssee. But on this particular morning I could see nothing from the boat but fog (except in the near distance). This picture was taken about an hour after arrival as the fog was beginning to clear. The day was later to become sunny and perfect.

Beautiful composition and colours, excellent light and framing. I like the church, the grey fog from the BG, the tree trunk and that birds. Very good.

Love the discrete bird in the foreground; the tree stump is very well composed into the photo.
Atmosphere is great.
I get a feeling - but I'm not an expert - that some post processing could enhance this photo. Some extra sharpness and maybe look for hidden colors that could be brought out. Perhaps someone who is an expert could give their suggestions.

Great composition with all those foreground items, the chapel ...
Looks like the levels were hard to control (but you did it)... I wish the fog was not quit so thick so we could see more of that hill .. but still .. amazing and wonderful image.

thank you for leaving the comment under one of my snaps recently...i must admit i had a look at your images from Königssee before my recent trip there...and i would comment on them sooner or later anyway;-)...the mood caught here is stunning and i already regret i had much better weather last weekend;-)...cheers, arturo

What a spooky scene of Königssee! Excelente composition! I usually like to see photos of this lake with it's beautiful blue/green water, but this photo is fantastic! I hope to visit this place in september...
