The church Notre-Dame de l'Assomption
Going up at the end of the 12e century, it suffered hard from the conflicts during its history. Altered at the following centuries, it was restored in 1881, in particular thanks to the Duke of Cambaceres. It presents: a gate of the 13e century, overcome by a rosette of style Gothic blazing of the 16th century, a nave of the 16th century, framed the collateral ones and finished by a right bedside in which announces a twisted column emphasizing the know-how of the stone mason, a whole of excellent invoice: chorus, high altar, canopy.

church is one of my favorite subject to shoot...this kind of position is hard to get.you've got the right angle to show front elevation.

Quand je vois ce type de monument , je suis toujours impréssioné par ce qu'ils faisaient de leur mains .
La rosace est superbe !
A en voir les très bon détails de la photo l'eglise, à l'air d'etre très bien conservé.
Le cadrage est bien choisi et le ciel se mari à merveille .
Mon seul bemol c'est le village à gauche mais malheureusement on ne peux pas le deplacer !
Une bonne photo qui se preté a de nombreux traitement numérique, je vous ais proposé un.

Very good shot of this church. Excellent detail and colors in the huge "bricks" in the wall, and very intricate artwork on the church portal and the rosette window. I like how the church tower is jutting out at the back left. Beautiful sky again, and instructive historical note. Thanks Philippe for sharing.

J'aime beaucoup les églises également. Cela peut paraitre fastidieux à certains, ou trop porté sur la religion, mais en fait ça n'a rien à voir, c'est une question d'architectures. Et je mets un "s" intentionnellement, il y en a tant et tant... qui bien souvent, comme celle-ci, ont combiné plusieurs styles au cours des siècles.
Ainsi cadrée, elle est extrèmement imposante, et les détails sont bien rendus. Magnifique rosace..

L'angle de prise de vue placé bas donne un aspect imposant très réussi. Une très belle netteté qui nous permet d'admirer à la fois les détails de l'architecture et les teintes des différents briques utilisées. Et toujours une note explicative très intéressante !
( Si je ne m'abuse on aperçoit à gauche du cliché l'immeuble qui a servi de sujet a votre cliché "calm on the city". On peut y voir le lampadaire et son soutien en forme de spirale.)

That's a beautiful church. The color of it is perfect and it stands out wonderfully against that great sky. The details in the photo are great, also. This is a beautiful little building and you photographed it very well.
C'est une belle église. La couleur d'elle est parfaite et elle se tient dehors merveilleusement contre ce grand ciel. Les détails dans la photo sont grands, aussi. C'est un beau petit bâtiment et vous l'avez photographié très bien.

J'ai effectué le WS avant de publier ma critique, la composition est correcte, à part la déformation normale dûe à l'utilisation d'une COURTE focale.
Le soleil voilé à tendance à diminuer le contraste, on n'y peut rien contre les caprice du temps. En ce qui concerne le texte vous avez le don d'être un bon comentateur.

Un très beau temps pour photographier cette église. Les couleurs de la pierre sont superbes et se marient bien avec le ciel. Excellente composition. Une petite plainte cependant: le lampadaire à gauche, n'aurait-il pas fallu le couper? Juste pour chicaner un peu... LOL
Je lis toujours avec attention votre note toujours instructive.
