I took this shot whilst on holiday in Norfolk. there was an out of town shopping centre with a farm park out of the back.
the donkey made this face about every 2 mins so i decided to try and get as low as possible to concentrate on the nostrils and the teeth.

I think that in photography ,like in painting, message is the most important thing. Sure, technic are important and this shot is technically good enough. Western art is based on human figure and I think also this shot represent somehow some sides of human being.

Hi Chris,
Sometimes it all about the timing, and this is just right. Maybe not the most attractive pose by any means, but what a great shot it makes! Putting any technical aspects aside, this is one that will make you stop and notice just by the sheer nature of its content and expression. Well captured, nicely done indeed!

For sure, a smile is guaranteed.
In addition, i can even smell the breath odor with fresh grass essence...
This fellow has much cleaner teeth compared to the teeth of the Norwegian donkey taken by the former TE member, Mr Jack R. Johanson (jrj).
He had 175 points and 7 fav.s for his donkey. This made me remeber how active TE was in the past :)

You have made my day - how gorgeous - My brothers & I had pet donkeys & as a young girl & remember getting bitten by one his name was ' TOBY '
Strangely enough those fine teeth that you see here in your wonderful image are not sharp but will leave a nasty bruise... This is an 11 out of 10 photo... He's really smiling for the camera.
