In Muslim Spain, the oriental tradition in architecture found a new breath of fresh air and a new originality that the Almoravid , from Andalusia, transposed in the eleventh century while building Marrakech, and contributing to the birth of the Moorish Moroccan Art.
Largely characterized by three elements: the arabesque with stylized foliage, calligraphy and its representation of verses from the Holy Quran, and the octagon geometric pattern.

Un témoignage vivant du rafinement d’une culture et d’un ensemble d’Arts ancrés dans la terre, dans les cœurs et dans le temps.
Dans l’Espagne musulmane, la tradition orientale en architecture trouve un nouveau souffle et une originalité que les Almoravides, à partir de l’Andalousie, transposeront au XI° siècle en fondant Marrakech, contribuant à la naissance de l’art hispano-mauresque au Maroc.
Largement caractérisé par trois éléments : l’arabesque au feuillage stylisé et entrelacé, la calligraphie et sa représentation de l’écriture des versets du Coran et le motif géométrique de l’octogone.
