A CAT with blue eyes - Some white cats suffer from congenital deafness caused by a degeneration of the inner ear. This condition is associated with blue irises. In white cats with mixed-colored eyes (odd-eyed cats), it has been found that deafness is more likely to affect the ear on the blue-eyed side.White cats can have blue, gold, green, or copper colored odd eyes.

This was a street cat which I found with these strange but color eyes and I captured. Then came to know that this is common disorder that many cats might have...

What a beautiful capture! From your note, I take it that you got in hot waters with the admins about this photo. I am glad they relented for this is a very precious photo. Am I correct in assuming that the eyes are in color and the rest of the photo is B&W?

once we had a deaf cat in our backyard and the poor was ever being caught in flagrant because this, what is almost impossible for a normal cat. very curious the different colors of the eyes and I liked the option of black and white around. I guess you had few time to get the framing but it would be better including the whole animal. anyway a beautiful compo. TFS>

How interesting! This cat with the jewel eyes is beautiful and intriguing ...
I like the way it is gazing at you, just agreeing to hold still for the photograph.
And those eyes... just amazing. Such a shame about the deafness, because this cat looks magical :)
