Hello Patrick - The colours of the goats mimic the landscape and I love the natural, earthy colours of both. The nomadic lifestyle is always so tenuous and in this environment the scoured hillside look all but barren. Quite amazing how people manage to secure enough food to live off. A great DL shot in a place few of us will see.

L'Inde est un pays fascinant et qui m'a intrigué et je voudrais bien revenir et de voir le nord, où les plus belles vallées.
Une très belle image avec le bétail le long de leur chemin à travers cette vallée désertique.
Excellente profondeur, la couleur et la dynamique.

very lifelike productions patrick, there is a tendency to go overboard with the photos and pp when it is about ladakh, but thanks for keeping it real, do you hire a car and drive, how do get about these tours, am sure this is not possible with a group..

De belles teintes pastelles comme tu sais nous les offrir, une douceur incroyable en opposition agréable avec ce paysage aride. J'aime bien ton cadrgae avec les chèvre en premier plan et cette cuvette qui semble infinie.

Hello Patrick,
This is a nice and interesting photo because of its management of light and space. In spite of the action happening on the very foreground our eyes are led to watch the depth and beauty of the rocky hills as they open up to the sky. I admire the excellent sharpness and clear cupturing of movement of animals on the ground and clouds in the sky and the intervals of light that has escaped through the clouds shining briefly on the rocks. Thank you for showing us this place!

They say the wool from this area is of a particular quality..!
And I can see a couple of sheep in that herd...
The lack of colours is remarkable in this hostile landscape, hopefully the animals will find some grass hehehe..!
A fine documentary indeed, a well balanced composition with good details...

I am really interested in this silk road thing. A nice post to remember the old traces of a once important part of the earth's civilization. The composition is just great, the mountains are simply grandiose and the lighting is well handled. Well captured! I wonder if this was a tourist destination or you just had the leisure of stopping by this area. Interesting!
