Photographer's Note
60 years spent in the bar-restaurant- grossery shop she (and he disappeared husband) created a few years after the war
89 yo: stopped cooking at 75 but has carried on working... To those who like to build ideal views of the past and old generations: despite her sense of humor, Marcelle would have loved another life, she would have loved to have some time to do anything else but working, she would... Today she' glad that ehe children of her children won't have the same life... she's just hoping that they'll know how to enjoy it.

Emmanuel,Hello.
An interesting note to go with a good picture, may be a slightly sad story but it probably applies to many old people. Not to me though.

hello emmanuel,
this portrait is a fruit of an interaction.
her hands, her look and your note are integral parts of this photo.

salut Manu,

You've obviously got an eye as well as a penchant for this type of photography. I wish your portraits told more of a story though. Practice makes perfect though!!!!
