Photographer's Note

I know that there are other photos from this place here and elsewhere. But why shouldn't I go postcardish from time to time. The weather was great and this view is so nice.
Colmar lies in the center of the Alsatian vineyards and near the foothills of the Vosges, and its particular climate for growing grapes, earned him the nickname “the capital of Alsace wines.” In the Middle Ages, the Alsatian wine was already one of the most popular in Europe.
The way from Strasbourg to Colmar, the Alsace vine route, is full of charming little towns and deserves to spend more time there. But I was glad with just a one day trip. Usually I travel alone or with my friends. This time I was with my husband and son. He doesn't want to travel with his old Mam and Dad, so it was quite unique.
