Photographer's Note
Paul has got a soft spot for fragile bamboo bridges, so here something for him.
This is a strange wooden construction in Nungwi. I had no idea what it could be, such a bridge to nowhere. I came close to it but didn't see any possibility to go on it. Only later I checked on the map that there was a restaurant at the end of this pier, belonging to the hotel on the cliff.
I went to Nungwi mainly to bath with the turtles and didn't check what else I could see there.
Two more photos of a beach during low tide in Workshops. Really, there were more low tides than high tides :).
Notice, that there are people on the roof. Strange.

the dark sky makes a perfect backdrop here and helps accentuate the bright blue water in the depth.

Hello Malgo,
Nice that you thought of me when you saw this wooden bridge which is more like a pier.
At the back I see a diagonal plane, presumably a staircase that leads to the water. So boats could moor there, perhaps only at high tide.
The seabed, which is exposed at low tide, provides a beautiful foreground which also shows several colours.
We see the pier again in your second WS which I personally think is the most successful.
That photo has a lot of depth due to the distance between the people in the foreground and the pier. We see many other persons spread over the large beach. Nice play of light and shadow in the foreground.

Hello Malgo,
It's a curious building and pier surrounded by nice colours. WS #2 give us the same view, but from a greater distance, and is to my mind a more interesting composition, considering the inclusion of the beach, rocks, trees and of course people. Unfortunately taking photos of dark skin against a bright white background is not easy. I have the same experience, but I would probably have used that WS as the main photo in spite of the slight shortcomings. I have used far worse scanned pictures as main uploads many times just because I liked them.

Hello Malgo,
This is indeed an unusual construction. It resembles some of the piers in the U.K which are a little neglected!
I can imagine that it would make a very enjoyable place to share a meal, with the sea all around and views back to the cliffs.
I particularly like the w/s with the tree family members on the beach, with the pier in the b/g. The light and shadows are beautiful and the trio are perfectly positioned in your composition.

I ever think these structures are very strange. I liked the graphic effect of the repetition of lines and the contrast with the strip of dark sky and clear sea.

Hello Malgo, piers and jetties always make for interesting pictures, and this one looks particularly frail; I am sure that it is really stronger than it looks.
Your picture looks wonderful in the large version.
We see the beautiful turquoise water beyond the pier, lovely.

Reminds a bit of the pleasure piers in many British seaside towns, although this restaurant at its end doesn't look very inviting. You placed it well diagonally in this shot. The textures of the shallow waters in the foreground look great also.

At low tide this turns to a productive place for collecting seaweeds while the bridge and restaurant are strong focals for the eye to hang on. Nice record shot of the day

this is a great series of 3 photos, I can only imagine how it looks in person, especially with the aqua water. very tall bridge, so photogenic...I wish I was here. everything is so good here, too bad you couldn't try out the restaurant :)
