Photographer's Note
Taken at the Waterfront on the same day as the Clock Tower image so the history of this particular area is much the same.
My thoughts of the image when taken were of these wooden statues hidden (or shall I say standing behind the glass) and that they had the perfect view overlooking the main waterfront area. Nobody took the slightest notice of them. They were well dressed and well presented and in a way looking at you with sad eyes as you passed by, almost inviting you to visit the shop where they are sold and whispering please take me home....to something new...
The picture could not be captured from the front because of the harbour area so the idea was to capture from this point of view.
Image had a crane in background which was cloned. Otherwise this is the original.
Comments most welcome and thank you all for visiting.

Lynette,
indeed the photo has beautiful colours, but I think you have to rotate the photo to get the horizon straight.
The figures look very interesting, and I like your note!

Hi Lynette. A nice colorful photo from the waterfront, where the perspective along the narrow boardwalk establishes a good sense of depth. Also a nice 1:2 division of the frame between the boats and the architecture, and good to have the people included and bring life to the scene. Indeed the photo could be rotated, but somehow it doesn't look bad with the slight tilt either, it seems to go quite well with the offbeat subject of the well-dressed figures in the shop window.

Hi Lynette,
wonderful shot, but who's looking at who? ;))
Wonderful the composition with the perspective of the "sidewalk" and I really like that this yellow house enlightened by the late sun has as the background this beautiful blue colour.
Have a nice day,
Tomi

Hi Lynette,
Excellent perspective of the narrow walkway with the display windows on one side and the harbour on the other. I am not really bothered with the tilt. The framing is something new and I rather like it.

Wonderful reflection of daily life, Lynette!
You may adjust the horizon a little, but the composition and colors are perfect!

Hi Lynette,
Ill start with the negative. A bit tilted. Could use maybe a degree of rotation counterclockwise to level it out. The positives are the moment of the kid running at the camera, and the intense colors.

Ciao Lynette!
I like the way my eyes are first captured by the "wooden statues" and then go away to the surroundings. Light is clear, sky is blue, everything quite and serene... but there are some war ships in the background of this shopping mall scene.
And you make me remember this lovely shopping mall: I don't love these places, but this one was onew of the better I have ever seen.
Ciao! Enjoy your country!!

Really good photo, this one. The slight tilt works well, making it 'dynamic' - don't know why some are complaining about it. The people seem dwarfed by the window models, and I love the way one of the models appears to be glancing surreptitiously around towards the camera. The background of warships is a bit cluttered, but hardly your fault. Well cloned-out crane! The colour and light are marvellous in this clever composition. Well done.

Andrew

I don't think we miss a front-on-view, as here your POV has shown the shop fronts anyway as well as the harbour and the walkway. I thought the wooden people were manniquins for the clothes. good shot.
