Photographer's Note
We visited a San village near Tsumkwe, in Bushmanland (300 km east of Ethosha - one long sandy road). It was a very interesting day, we could just hang around, watching them go about their daily business. They also went into the bush with us, looking for honey in the trees, with a long stick. Onece they found the honey, they choped the tree, cut it open, chased the STINGLESS bees away, and took out the pockets of honey.
The San are said to be the original race, the fysionomy is quite particular, both men and women have fat reserves on their buttocks and bellies, and their skin in honeycoloured not black. I'll post some more picture in the next days of these very friendly people, they only race that has never been at war !

Interesting picture and nice explaination Saskia. They really seem interested by the tree then they look at you. Good shot of daily life and good DOF.

good spur of the moment pic, and an extremely interesting note. i think it could be made more interesting though, perhaps by focusing on one element (eg: the guy in the front) and slightly blurring the rest. looking forward to seeing more pics from this area.
cheers
