Photographer's Note

This scene was amazing to me. Taken in the deep and narrow Todgha valley about 2 hours east from Ouarzazate, I was walking along the small road in the very bottom of the "Gorges du Todgha" for a nice 4 hours tour.

At some point, when I and my friend thought we were alone in the world, we heard in the heighness some goats. It took us about 2 or 3 minutes to discover two shepherds walking litterally "in" the mountain at about 200 m above our head. We were completely afraid for them but they made their way almost as fast as us on the rock face.

That was a new opportunity to test my new 420 mm equivalent lens.

I reframed the original picture so as to convey the feeling I had when discovering them making their dangerous way, their slow but continuous progress on the rock face. Unfortunately, with the narrow framing, we lose the fantastic surrounding Gorges but I will try to correct this in the coming days...
