Photographer's Note
In one of the many villages that you can found near Niger river, I have spend some time to walk by the narrow streets. It's hot and sun burns the land. There is not body in the street, as a phantom village. When suddenly I see this two boys. They look at me as an stange man (I was an strange there,...), and then they come to me, they have said something, they bring me some smiles and then they follow to walk. It was an strange feeling to walk along this empty streets, nothing to compare to the crowded streets of Bamako or Mopti. In this kind of villages you can feel that you are in another time, may be in another world.
Finally, what is really interesting, is that this is the same time and the same world where we lives.
In this picture I don't look for an estetique picture, I look for to brings an special atmosphere of this moment. I have centred the picture on the two boys, with all the lines that goes straight to them trying to gives a point to focus for us.

Hola Xavi,

Exactly as you wrote to the note. All the lines go straight on them.
I would have made the same photo. I would have felt the same as you felt there. I feel like if i am there to the empty narrow streets of the ghost village.
Bravo Javier. Great shot with a very good note.
Best regards

Hola Javier.

I always like these types of images and especially in B&W. The alley creates a nice leading line. My only comment is it would have been nicer to see the boys in the sunlight area to provide a little more detail.
Well done.

Ciao Javier,

Superbe.
