perhaps its the outline for workers to eventually come and make the hole in the wall for that desired window haha. Maybe its a subtle hint by a wife to her husband haha. Fun little scene and note to go along with it. Completely different style of homes as one would expect, to our North American cookie cutters. cheers

Terrific frame filler, may be very old but it's so photogenic !!! I love especially its appealing colour combination I am very fond of! Someone must have put a great deal of effort into painting the perfectly placed green square, wonder where it all went wrong ....
This has many a story to tell. Excellent find

I must tell you that when we bought our house, we altered the layout upstairs, to create another bedroom. Until the builder could come and make an opening in the stonework, we pinned a curtain across where the window would be. A room without a window was very depressing!

it is not a real window ...but never mind...
it is a different window in an attractive
green color giving the idea of a window...
