Photographer's Note
Galada monkeys are endemic to the Simian mountains in Ethiopia. It is surprising that for monkeys with such fearsome canine teeth, they are pretty much exclusively grass eaters. The males yawn, displaying their teeth, in order to intimidate potential rivals.

Hi Steve
Don't think I'd like him to chomp on my arm. Brilliantly captured yawn.
Cheers

Hello Steve,
I guess you were pretty close, so you would have been excused in case you got a bit shaken. I have come very close to a lot of monkeys in Asia and Africa, and they never seem reliable. You timed the photo perfectly and managed to make it really sharp. His teeth look scary but his eye is absolutely creepy. Zombie?
Regards,
Gert

Hi Stephen
I am intimidated seeing these long and sharp teeth. Taken at the peak moment!
Have a nice day

Great telephoto shot, Stephen! Your timing was perfect, and the bokeh only made this photo more appealing. Those fangs really remind us not to mess with these animals. rgds.
