Photographer's Note
One could say that the foundation for tourism on the island of Sal was laid already in 1939. That is when the first airport was built as a refuel point on routes from Europe to South America. Presumably ease of building the runway on the relatively flat island was the only reason for the choice as the island only had population of around one thousand on those days.
Flatness of the island means also endless beaches, another prerequisite for mass tourism. But of course they arrived only much later as a consequence of globalisation, affordable flights and finally because many Europeans have already visited Canary Islands.

Hi Kari,
the composition is just perfect... and the sunshine and gentle soft colours make the scene so inviting!
I like the "triangle" which is formed by the people on the left, on the right and by the paraplane up there in the sky :)
but I wonder why the picture looks a bit blurred?
kind regards,
Elena

Hi Kari,
The distance between the women in the foreground and the beach is giving depth to the composition. The point bof view is showing the activities on the beach and in the ocean. A good management of the strong light which does not hurt to much the output of the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Kari
The georgraphy of the place certainly lends itself to tourism. What a great place to go beach-combing. An idyllic scene, with excellent management of the sunlight.
Warm regards

Bonjour Kari,
par les grands froids et ciels gris qui sévissent en Europe, il est agréable d'aller se balader même par photo interposée, entre les tropiques.
Une belle carte postale balnéaire qui sent le plein soleil.
Regards.
Daniel.

Kari,
Aaaah, wouldn't we love to be here away from the cold cold days. The photo quality is not your best but the atmosphere is more important here, it make us dream of places we wish to be. Dream a little dream.
