Hello Bev,
Both photos show us a very nice scenery which is presented to us with excellent light and colours. The strange tree stand here like a kind of monument.
Looking at these photos I wonder what this forest sounded like. I expect there must have been some insects buzzing and hopefully some birds chirping. What about woodpeckers? I used to love their sounds in my childhood forests and our garden. I hear so little of that kind now in the city center.
Kind regards,
Gert

Thanks for your input, Gert.
I know exactly what you mean about the noises we used to have in woodlands, when we were young. In this wood, the bird songs and calls were outstanding. The noise of insects was not so loud. I wonder if that was because many of the flowers were only just opening. Maybe when they are in full bloom the insect noses will rival those of the birds! Kind regards, Bev :-) |

But I hear the blackbird singing in a tree just outside my windows every evening, and sometimes in the night, in the centre of the city!

Same in my garden, Gert, the blackbirds sing loudly but also have the loudest alarm call to warn all the other birds of danger!
