Actually I want to buy a zoom lense.. I have Nikon D5100 and 18-55 kit lense as well as 35 mm prime.. I have checked the review of the following

1> Tamron SP 70-300mm f4-5.6 VC
2> Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm f4.5-5.6G IF-ED VR.
3> AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR

I think, you have the 2nd one. Can you tell me how it is ? I have also heard about 70-200mm but it is very expensive. So, thought to check with you. You can tell me about some other zoom lense as well which you personally feel good in terms of quality and price.

I use the second one, and that is the best in this range. I am satisfied. You can see a lot of my posts with this lens... Buy 70-300 with VR. I am now looking for a wide one. I think the 12-28 tokina will be nice, because Nikon has a price almost double of it. Do you have any knowledge?

I think you are talking about Tokina SD 12-28mm F4 (IF) DX AT-X PRO. I have heard this is good but dont have eny hands on experiance.. There is another one Tokina AT-X Pro SD 11-16mm f/2.8 (IF) DX which is also good as per review.

Thanks for the suggestion regarding 70-300 VR. What is the price of the same and from where you buy lenses?

Hi, I bought it from M.M (at metro-goli). That time it was around 32k (one and half yrs ago).
