The 50mm really is quality, I am enjoying mine, the sharpness and quality and bokeh. You have got nice and close capturing the expresions well.

thanks  yes, the 50mm gives you a nice shooting distance on a digital SLR - I was lucky that people didn't mind being photographed in Japan, that allowed me to to get very close to the subjects... sorry for not being very present with my comments these days - I was busy at work, had friends visiting and the time to write shrunk considerably...  have a great weekend c.
