Great holmertz 2009-12-30 4:28

Hello Marlene,
No more Nepal? This is however also an interesting picture, because these suburbs of Brisbane don't look at all what I may have expected. This looks like a tropical area (maybe it is, I'm not so good at Australian geography), considering the vegetation as well as the style of he buildings, made to collect as much fresh air as possible.
Thanks for sharing, and a happy new year to you too.

Default To holmertz: Brisbane

Hello Gert
I may post an occasional photo from Nepal in the future - but I am digging deep now! I may even find a scanned slide from my distant past to post!

Brisbane sits in the sub-tropics and everyone has trees in their back and frontyards. Not all the houses are as grand as those shown but everyone has an outdoor covered area for entertaining and relaxing. The undulating terrain shown is fairly typical of all suburbs of Brisbane.

Thanks again for your critique, Marlene
