Wow, is engagement ceremony held in a glamorous way?
I'm wondering if in a small city like Antakya the engagement can be like this, how's in Istanbul? :))
And what about the wedding day?
Do the bride and groom wear a higher-fashioned costume or a traditional one?
If I were to choose, I would wear.......

Yes Henny, engagement is one step short of marriage and binding in small communities and therefore, more colourful and ostentatius the better. I guess even in more traditional communities, there is nothing traditional left for us to marvel. Television's widespread visual impact on the society..
Would you prefer a traditional one? I hope you find the right person to consider such options when the time comes. ;-))) Best, petek
