Great petertee 2004-09-24 10:17

A fascinating picture. The rabelos, especially the one farthest right, has a look of the Viking Longboat! Is the timber beam at the bows part of the boat's equipment for mooring or does it stay at the mooring when the boat departs?
Another question! :o) Is the dominating bridge in the background covered with scaffolding or is the mesh effect part of its structure? I know, I aught to go and see for myself. :o)
This nicely composed picture makes that an intriguing prospect.

Default To petertee: Thanks

Well, first i thank you for your great critique and i went to get some answers specially for thr first question you made.

The timber beam at the bows is part of the boat equipment and does not stay in the mooring when the boat departs, it goes with the boat and slides throught the water or sometimes it is raised a little bit from the water staying suspended in the air.

About the bridge, itīs Luis I Bridge, very old with two trays and the superior tray is at the present time in restauration, well, the whole bridge is at restauration thatīs why they covered it up with metal, more than it had at the original view!
