Kalimera Mantukas!
You have shown a Hellenic seascape from a season that is seldomly a time for tourist activity. That's why it seems to me more pure and genuine... The pure composition and the sharpness of the photo add to that mood.
Efharisto!
Lefteris
(The locals called me so during my last visit:)

Lefteris ah? Nice name, it means "The man who brings freedom". ELEFTERIA or LEFTERIA' means FREEDOM! :)
And please, don't call me with my surname. My name is Mpampis or Babis or whatever you like... Best regards Mpampis |

1. Excuse me for calling you on the family name - I thoght that Greeks use their family names mainly. When I was in Greece in June, our hotel's owner was Vassillis Illias, the hotel name was "Illias" and all his neighbours said: "Kalimera Illias!" when passing by:). If that's not a general rule in Greece,l will gladly call you by your first name...
2. I knew that Lefter(is) comes from freedom (or from bachelor;) My grand-grand-grand father had been from Greek origin... I remember my grandfather (born 1897) spoke in Bulgarian on everydfay topics, greeted his friends in Greek or Turkish, gossiped on pollitical matters im Magiar (Hungarian) or in Valachian (Rumanian) :)) Old Balkan stories... Now we understand each other thanks to the English languge only... ALL THE BEST, DEAR MPAMPIS! Anton |

Hi Antonis (your Greek name)
Well, usually we call using our first name. "Geia soy Mpampi" without -s :) Maybe the owner of the hotel you stay was known with his surname which is a first name also (Helias) :) Complicated? So you have a far Greek origin. I'm glad about this. That's one of the reasons you like Greece so much! :) |
