Great banyanman 2006-01-15 5:54

Wow, what an impressive photograph, Colin. I spotted this on your home page and am glad I saw it as I have added this to my favourites. The layers of vegetation, mist and mountains give this incredible depth, and it has a magical atmosphere about it. How did you get the blue tones - in your original note you said you didn't use a filter, but did you do some PP on it? It looks so unreal to be 'natural' ;) Cheers . . . David

Default To banyanman: Dawn at Vale of Vinales

The photo was taken on Fuji Velvia 50 asa slide film. No filter was used at the lighting was just before dawn and using the natural pre-dawn light. The combination of the light + film + mist have combined to give the colour in this image. The slide was scanned on a Minolta 5400 scanner with no post processing dome.
Thanks for your comments - much appreciated
Regards Colin
