Great williewhistler 2015-02-01 4:22

Hello Javier,
a little more room in front of the child might have been nice but without doubt it is a fine photograph that summarises perfectly the simple pleasure that children enjoy.
Beautiful,evocative imagery.
Regards Les.

Default To dta: Gothic Cathedrals in France.....

Bonjour Denis,

Thank you for your kind remarks about this picture!

Yes, of course I have seen many beautiful French Gothic cathedrals here on TE and one that appears particularly beautiful is the one at Auxerre which Jean Jacques frequently shows us.

Am I right in thinking that the cathedral at Amiens is the largest one in France? And which do you think is the most beautiful?

Default You're right ,

Hello ,
You're right , Amiens is the largest one .
Unfortunately , I've not visited the most famous and impressive : Amiens , Paris , Reims , Strasbourg , Bourges , Chartres , Rouen Beauvais ... but i've visited very ibeautiful ones , nevertheless : Rennes , Nantes , Vannes ,Tréguier (in Brittany ), Bayeux , in Normandy (a beauty) , Le Mans , Narbonne , Oloron ... all are different , all are interesting . The last one i've visiyed , Le Mans, was especially interesting , with the presence of about 10 models , explaining the evolution of the Cathedral through the centuries .
