Dear Peter,
It is extraordinary that you can drive 2 1/2 hours from Sydney and see this sort of rugged wilderness, so closely evoking images of the Grand Canyon. The crisp atmospheric conditions and the bright sun have collaborated to reveal the vibrant colors of the rocks and vegetation. Another wonderful aspect of this photo is that you've posted the day you shot it. It's fresh and warm like a new baguette pulled out the baker's oven. Can that distant ridge be part of a circular crater, the relic of a collision in the distant past with an immense meteorite?
Peter, I am sending you an email separately.

Hi Peter, thanks for your comment - must admit I did wonder whether the distortion was a bit too heavy, perhaps I should have opted for a longer focal length and moved back a bit. Cheers, Steve
