Hi Pat,
Serios surfing in January, I wonder what's the water temprerature.
Wonderful action shot, showing the surfer coming fast down the wave edge. Interesting colour difference between the green 'wall' and blue water further down. I'm actually surprised that there's no more motion blur with 1/160.

To ktanska: Probably around 14
While the air temperature is probably around 18-20. The Santa Ana winds blow off the desert so air temperatures are a little warmer than usual in the daytime. Right now the water temperature averages around 20 which is pretty much the high although occasionally the water temperature will reach 22.
