Great kevinos 2006-10-05 5:52

This is a very interesting image, Simon. The idea of placing the portrait on the base of her fabric makes it look dramatic and adds good context. I have a slight problem with the contrast, it seems to need adjusting. I have done a little workshop to show what I mean. The line of the fabric, which is the dominant line in the composition is almost horizontal. If you had changed your PoV slightly to get an angle, it would have been more dramatic. Horizontal lines seem to give a static feel, whereas angles suggest movement and drama more. It is a very enjoyable picture, Regards Kevin.

Default Thanks!

Hi Subir,
Thanks for the WS. Though I am not sure about it. May be it is more like an abstract thing. The colour is also too saturated to my taste.
Best regards
