Hello Ali,
Yes, the Turkish flag is ubiquitous in Turkey. I can understand flying it on the ruins of fortresses, but why on the ruins of a monastery?

This flag was installed at the highest point of the island and was far from the monastery. These walls, which you can see around the flag, were a place to sit and see the lake. These are not the ruins of a monastery. With respect
