Hi Christine,
I would not work on this building - tat scaffolding does not look safe! Your photo gives us a good idea of building techniques in Cameroon, and it has excellent sharpness. I would try to give it a bit more contrast. In Photoshop you can increase midtone contrast, which would not make the sky too bright or the shadows too dark.

we can surely improve the photo and I allow you! I don't have photoshop but a simple basic software that does not make miracle...
