To loufah: Scan & pp
To be honest I didn't do a huge amount! The scanner I used was a very cheap flatbed one and I just placed the original photo on the plate (and the photo itself was only taken with a cheap point-and-shoot).
Post-processing: I spent a little effort on Photoshop trying to clone out the marks from the scanner, and I then enhanced the colours (but only a littel - they were like this in real life). Finally I shaprepened a bit and then ran it through neatimage.
Belive me, I'm absolutely no expert in any of this, although it does help when you've got subject matter like I had!
