Default The perfect laptop?

ThinkPad W700

Important features for us are the calibrated wide-gamut display and a Wacom tablet built in (sadly not a Cintiq). The only drawback is I suspect it's going to be rather expensive.

Hi Adrian.

I think you're probably right. The specification is excellent right now but, give it another year (maybe less) and this will be industry standard.

Personally, I've been debating whether to get a laptop or an Epson P5000. I mostly want it for the photo-storage and playback but the pocket-sized laptops that are out there right now with 250GB HD and 2GB memory make spending £450 on a glorified portable hard-drive difficult, to say the least!

Decisions, decisions.....

All the best. Paul.

Impressive - that's the thing you want to have if you do lotsa editting away from home. The early adopters are gonna pay top dollar, no doubt ;-)
It's bulky machine and I only do quick edits on the road, so the nifty Asus EEE901 (340 Ä) suits me very well.
