Hello Mariusz,
The second paragraph of your note reminds me of the origins of Belgium and the way in which the country got its first king.
The king who was German and Lutheran had to give assurance that he would marry a Catholic princess (a French woman) and raise their children as Catholic.
But what sounds a bit funny to me is the name: Pasha Jozef Bem.
I'm sorry, I don't want to make fun of your hero.
I think you've presented us this mausoleum before but probably in another composition. I seem to remember it.
Very clear reflections in the vast water of the pond.
Best regards, Paul

Default To PaulVDV: Murad Paşa/Pasha

Hi Paul,
I have to read more about the origins of Belgium. It sounds quite interesting.

About Gen. Bem wikipedia says:
He served as Governor of Aleppo under the name of Murad Paşa/Pasha.
His last military victory was defeating
Bedouins sieging the city of Aleppo.
Kind regards,
Mariusz
