I didn't see this bell when I was in Ghent a few months ago - it must have been hidden for the renovations, of which there were lots going on.
Nicely composed with the trees and old buildings adding interest.

To ifege: The vanished bell
Hi Ian,
Thanks for looking in. You could not see the bell because they took it away. The municipality of Gent is reshaping the squre were it stood and it will not be finished before 2012. It is not sure that the bell will be repositioned in its old place, there is a possibility that it will find its old place in the beffry. Regards John
