Hi Jorge.
The poor paw paws! (We usually call them paw paws in Australia (the papaya are longer and redder) and they grow well in suburban Brisbane). It's been decades since I have seen any frost in northern or inner northern Brisbane, although the western and far south western suburbs inland still get occasional frosts. More of a problem here is the city gobbling up farmlands and suburban sprawl. The naked trees look strange. I used to cut off a branch, make a pipe and blow bubbles through the hollow tube of the leaf stalk, when I was around 10-12 years old. Tfs!

the case of those figs is different of these papaya fruits. the first ones were lost because the drought and hot days gave to the fig tree an idea it was a dry summer again and it produced more figs and when the cold arrived it was obligated to lost its leaves. in the case of papaya fruit they produce fruits all year round but in this case the frosts destroyed the leaves and its fruits, who became like frozen and boiled inside. I will show many weeks ahead a mango tree completely burned (brown) Jorge
