New Color Scheme?

Based on this post by Homerhomer, I decided to create a new thread to see how others feel about a new color scheme. Please state your preferences if this interests you:

A. Black
B. White
C. Grey
C. Same (no change)
D. Other color (please state color)

This doesn't mean whatever gets the most votes will be used, but I'm curious what the consensus is. Thanks.

Definitely white. If you take a look at flickr.com the site looks very clean and personally I think having a white background makes the image look better, sharper and let the colours stand out. A lot of people already seem to include white borders with their images, myself included.

I've never liked photo galleries with black backgrounds, so I really hope we don't change to black.

Hmm, I'm torn. I'm used to the current TE colourscheme, and so I like it - it's also a useful way to differentiate between the various Trek sites. That said a neutral coloured background is better for assessing colour balance...

Perhaps a compromise? Existing colour scheme for most things, but a grey background for the pane containing the critiques/fullsize images.

thank you Adam, this is truly appreciated.
I am going with white, very clean, clear, neutral.

blackdoesn't look bad either, as in this example (my very close second choice).

If white or white are a no go I would also suggest
grey or
grey/dark green, which is quite popular on pbase.

Hi Adam,
I also agree that white is the best choice. Black is also good. I would go for a black and white layout. It is more professional and clean.
Grey looks good too, but I prefer white, and black.

I agree with AdrianW. I like the colour scheme as is part of TE's identity, but i also agree a greyish background for the i,ages would be best.

I think, to each one his own preference. The best solution I've seen to date is in this site:

The little squares right above the photograph allow the viewer to chose the color of the background on which he prefers to see the photographas (black, grey, light grey, white, white frame).

Hi,
I find it's a good idea to change the color scheme (even if I'm used to the "sand" it seems a little oldy). The white (with some black strokes) sounds good : design, restrained, allowing to focus on shots...). I just wonder if it would be OK for B&W posts ?
